"From Here To Success"

My Education Experience

My early years of education endeavors weren’t very successful. Coming out of high school my grades were just okay and my study habits were awful! I was more interested in playing basketball and chasing members of the opposite sex than getting a good education.

Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t one of those rich playboys. As a matter of fact, I had almost no money and was scraping by on little money other than a few partial scholarships. I ate so much tuna fish that I nearly grew gills!

I first attended Berea College for one semester and then transferred to Eastern University for a year and a half.  After that, I attended Sullivan University for almost two years.  I was playing basketball at the institutions and had perfected a system of moving on just before being kicked out for lack of “Academic Accomplishment”.

Consequently, I was drafted into Uncle Sam’s army and spent 15 months in Korea during the Pueblo crisis. (At least I escaped Viet Nam, which is better than I can say for lots of my friends.)

I’m telling you all this for a reason.  When you are 13 thousand miles from home and am not sure if you are getting home, your priorities change.( Sure wish I and all my family and friends would have known about SendOutCards then)

This is when I instituted my first 15 year plan as outlined in “Think and Grow Rich”.  I was able to come home, go through Speed school in 3 1/2 years and nearly complete my MBA prior to starting a very successful business career.

I would encourage you to check out this book.  I have used the principles of Autosuggestion and Mastermind over the years for most personal and business accomplishments.
